Career Exploration

Producer-
Education & Training:
I need a high school degree but it may also help my career if I had a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in the performing arts, broadcasting, film studies, or theater production.
In-state schools that offer these majors are: Central Michigan University, Wayne State University, Northern Michigan University, Lansing Community College, Grand Valley State University, University of Michigan, Calvin College, Western Michigan University, and Eastern Michigan University.
Business training is especially useful, as it can help producers develop a better understanding of project management, budgeting, and contract negotiations. It does really say how long it takes to get necessary training for this job.
The estimated expenses for the education and training I will need at Wayne state is 15,991 including tuition, fees, books, and room/board. But it also depends tuition and fees vary according to course/credit load.Tuition and fees vary according to student grade level (freshman, sophomore, etc.).Room and board charges vary according to board plan selected (i.e., 12-meal plan 19-meal plan, etc.). Room and board charges vary according to housing facility selected (i.e., dorm, apartment, etc.).

Starting Level:
I hope to be editing scripts and going over the money and talk with directors and other stuff like that. I hope to be on the road a lot. Traveling to different sets and talking with others and making appointments.
The entry wage would be like $20.37 per hour/week. The annual wage is $42,370.

My top 10 careers.

1.
Acting Instructor
2.
Teacher Assistant
3.
Elementary School Teacher
4.
School Counselor
5.
Career Coach
6.
Producer
7.
Casting Director
8.
Marriage and Family Therapist
9.
Child and Youth Worker
10.
Image Consultant
One of the three careers I chose would be Elementary School Teacher. The reason I chose that because I love working with small children. As a babysitter I take this very seriously. I have always wanted to work with children and it is a fun career. I also love teaching children new and wonderful skills.I think the requirements of being an elementary school teacher is honesty, passion for children, patients, kindness, respect and a good discipline guideline.
As my second career I chose Marriage and Family Therapist because I like listening and dealing with issues and problems between others. The reason I find this career interesting is because I always find myself stuck in the middle of other people’s issues and problem or I am going through my issues at home.
Another career that is interesting is being a producer. I love to write and edit and handle phone calls and paperwork and all that kind of stuff it is so much fun. I just want to be that important business women that is independent. This career is very cool. Sometimes you work behind desk and sometimes you work out from behind the desk. But the best part is arranging and organizing how you show or movie is going to work. There are many producers but I am not sure which one I want to be in.
So those are my career chooses.

Haunted Halloween

This weekend is Halloween and I am spending it with my mom, my brother, my dad, my little sister and other family members. Tonight I am going to the playoff game because I am on color guard and I have to perform tonight but there’s a twist to tonight’s show. We are still performing the show we always perform just in are Halloween costumes. Then after that I am going to a marching band party at someone’s house. Then tomorrow I will be getting up with my mom to go help at my dance studio and help with activity day for the little elementary school kids.
Then I will be going to another party at my aunt’s house and I will be going trick-or-treating with my little sister and my cousins. I really don’t have a favorite Halloween costume. But my friend at my old school she had the funniest costume she use to wear every Halloween. Every Halloween she use to dress up as a McDonald French Fry.
As with candy every year. Yes, my little sister and I do have a tradition which I use to do with my brother before he went a way for college. When we come home from trick-or-treating she and I spread are candy on the floor and we exchange candy we don’t like with each other. For instance I take the candy she doesn’t like and she takes the candy I don’t like. But this year I can’t eat a lot of candy because my dentist put a silver cap on my tooth and if I eat anything that is too sweet or too cold or too hot then is will ache for days.

I have a wonderful history of Halloween. One Halloween I was with my cousins, (this was when I was like six or seven years old) I was going up to this on mans house in Detroit and I was little so I didn’t know he wasn’t trying to hurt me. So I went up and he gave me some candy and then I heard a scream and out the door comes this guy with a chain saw and he was dresses in a Blue jump suit and wearing a white hockey mask and he had fake blood on him and he started chasing me around this tree and all the other little kids were smart and ran home because they lived in the neighborhood. I did live in the neighborhood but two blocks away. But back to the story, then I started running towards incoming traffic but my mom screamed stop don’t go that way run the other way so I ran the other way and back around the tree and to my mom then the guy started coming towards my mom and she slapped him cursed him out and we got in the car and the guy started banging on the window and she sped off.

I don’t really watch scary movies and so I don’t have a favorite. But I did see the first Freddie and Jason Movie when I was seven. But that’s all for Halloween.Bye.

A perfect Day

If I only had 24 hours to live I would spend it with the people I love most. Those people would be my mom, my dad, my step dad, my brother, his girlfriend and the rest of my family members.

In the morning: First will wake up my mom’s voice and see that it is a sunny fall day with leaves falling from the trees. I would wake and pet my dog Denver on the head. Then I would go take a shower and brush my teeth and wash my face, get dressed and then go down stairs for breakfast. I would walk in the kitchen to see my stepdad reading the morning paper and drinking his coffee and my mom would be making breakfast at the same time she would my stepdads lunch. I would sit down at the table and she would sit a plate on the table in front of me. I would thank her and then me and my stepdad would start eating and then when my step dad finished he would get up from the table and put his plate away and then kiss my mom goodbye and head to work. I would finish up next then I would put my plate away and go get ready to have a fun fill day with my mom and friends.

In the afternoon: I would go shopping with my mom and then we would go to my favorite restaurant and have lunch. Then we would go to visit my grandmother’s grave site. Then we would go and get are nails and hair done by my aunt. I will go visit my friend Khyli. We would also go to the park and watch the birds and stuff. I would go see my niece Riley. I would spend time saying goodbye to my real birth father. Then it will start getting dark and I will go home.

At night: I will go home and eat dinner and me and my family will sit down and recap on old time then I would watch a movie with them and then text my friends I didn’t see that day to say goodbye and close old relationships and then finally I will get in my bed lay down and finally I will be GONE!

In ten years...

In ten years I will 24 and living in Miami, Florida. I will be living in a nice small house. I would be attending college to get my bachelors degree in teaching at Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University (FAMU). I will hopefully be teaching at a school teaching. I will be there hanging out with my family and friends but also living my life up. In my spare time I will travel back to Detroit to visit all my family and especially my dad. Also I will be hanging out at night with some friends and enjoying myself. I will have a dog. I will be married. I will have more nieces and nephews.
I will be a successful woman and be independent when need to. I will not be bothered with people who use me to get to other things in life. My brother should be married by then, so I might have a sister-in-law. I will also travel around the world when I have a chance. I will drive a bmw which my dad will buy me. I will have a part-time job working with my cousin at her dance studio. I will also be a majorette coach local florida high school. In my spare time I will be shopping whenever I can and be at the beach too with my friends. I will hopefully be closer with my step-brothers and sisters by that time. That’s all I want I can’t ask for anything more it has to be realistic right.

Kind of Communicator

The kind of communicator I am would have to be a verbal but also a visiual. I really use visiual more because I text a lot more than I talk. Texting to me is so useful because what if you are at the point where you can’t talk to some one and you could only text then it will come in handy. Talking on the phone is a waste of time. It’s also a waste of minutes or a waste of money also. When I text with my friends I talk about things that happen and kind of gossip but I don’t dissrespect any or harm there feeling. I talkk about girly things such as clothes, shoes, shopping and boys. But It a cool way for me to communicate with my friend.

I also use facebook more because its easier for me to communicate with my friends that don’t have phone or that I don’t have there number. Facebook is a place that I can catch up and recoonect with old friends, family. I get on only once in a blue moon because I am so busy with colorguard, twirlering competitions that I never only sometime can get on. The people I communicate the most with would have to be my close friends. Some of my friends are in college or finishing college but they always have time to talk to me. My other friends I communicate best with would have to be my friend from school though because the know whats going on. And when I am on facebook I just talk about the day to day things that happen and they always know what I am talking about.

When I do talk on the phone or talk to people it really rare. Because I have never been the kind of person that could easily talk to others I am really know as the shy one in my family. But when I do talk if I don’t like something you do or wear I will tell you like it is that is the only time I am not shyaround others. But the way I communicate may be different for others or it may not be at all. That’s the kind of communicator I am.

My Ideal School.

My ideal school would be a school that is big and has hangout areas for students. Short schedules but we will still learn everything we need to. School should have more after school clubs. I would also want teachers who teach but don't nag you every five seconds for work or participation. I also like the idea of having some type of assembly every day.
I think that school should have bigger hallways so students won’t be tempted to push and shove and start fights. School should be where students can come and have fun but also learn what they need to know to survive in the real world after high school. I also think that school should have more comfortable desk and chairs. They should have bigger lockers. Teacher that work there should be very friendly. When students come in to school hey should be happy and want to get up every day and come to school to hangout and get away from family.
Students should be allowed to have cell phones out and on in school. They should talk on them but should be allowed to text with them. They may not use them though when take exams. I think for lunch students should be able to leave school but then should be able to check in with the office when back. For now that’s what I think school should be like. That’s my ideal school.
